Foodbank is here to make sure there’s food on the table for ANYONE who needs it, every day, right around the country.                       

We believe everyone should have access to good food no matter what.  That’s why, across Australia, we provide food and grocery relief to 2,844 front-line charities and 3,379 school breakfast programs to help feed people in need. Last year alone, we sourced enough food for 92 million meals.

• Foodbank provides food relief to those in Australia who need a hand.
• Foodbanks across Australia distribute food and groceries to 2,844 registered charities and through, 17 Food Hubs and mobile pop-ups/pantries across metropolitan and regional Australia.
• Foodbank provides food for school feeding programs (breakfast clubs, lunch programs and/or holiday/weekend supplies) across 3,379 schools nationally.
• In 2023, Foodbank sourced the equivalent of 92 million meals (51 million kilograms of food and groceries), or 252,000 meals a day. The retail value of this food is $560 million.
• A third of food sourced by Foodbank in 2023, was fresh fruit and vegetables. Almost half was pantry staples and fresh items (eg bread, milk, eggs, cheese etc)
• More than 30% of all food and groceries distributed by Foodbank nationally goes to regional and rural communities.
